We begin the trip with a visit to the Vinkovci City Museum, which, through its rich collection of exhibits, tells a fascinating story of 8,000 years of uninterrupted life in this oldest European city. Here you will have the opportunity to see valuable archaeological finds, among which stand out objects from the Roman Empire, but also learn more about Vinkovci's glorious past.
After the museum, we visit the Abelo distillery, where we will have a tasting of top-quality Slavonian gin. In a pleasant atmosphere, you will learn all about the production process of this aromatic drink, try different flavors and enjoy the unique blend of tradition and modern craft approach.
Finally, we go on a guided walk through the city, which begins in the city park, a green oasis in the very heart of Vinkovci. In its immediate vicinity is the church of St. Eusebius and Polion, one of the symbols of the long history and spirituality of this region. We continue towards Vinkovci's promenade, full of life, where you will notice the motif of Orion, the oldest European calendar, which was found right here.
A leisurely stroll along the banks of the Bosut River, known for its tranquility and beauty, takes us to the birthplace of Ivan Kozarac, one of the most famous Slavonian writers. We end the walk at the Gothic Church of St. Elijah, after which we return to the city center.
